His experience includes representing landlords in the leasing of mixed-use retail space, lenders and borrowers in real estate-secured loan transactions, and developers and property owners in the acquisition, disposition and development of commercial real estate. Before joining the firm in the fall of 2021, Grant started his legal career as an Associate in the real estate group at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis in Nashville where he gained valuable experience in complex commercial real estate transactions and financings in the healthcare, hospitality, and retail sectors.

Grant received his JD in 2016 from The University of Alabama School of Law where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and competed on the school’s National ABA Moot Court Team. He received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from The University of Alabama in 2011, graduating summa cum laude. While an undergraduate, Grant studied at the Universidad Católica del Uruguay for a semester where he made a documentary film and completed courses with native Spanish speakers in sociology and literature.

Grant is a native Texan, but grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. He lives in East Nashville with his wife and their two young children.  On most Saturdays in the fall, Grant is busy cheering on the Crimson Tide with his family.  During the off season, he enjoys being outside with his kids, especially at his family’s property on the Cumberland Plateau in Sewanee.
